Lady Raiders Earn Fourth Shutout in Culleoka Win

Defense has become a calling card of the Richland High School girls’ soccer team in recent weeks, and the Lady Raiders continued the trend with an 11-0 shutout at Culleoka Tuesday, the team’s fourth shutout victory of the season.

Richland (4-2, 3-1) led 5-0 at the half in a match that featured eight different scorers for the Lady Raiders. Sarahevelyn Corlew recorded a team-high four assists and added a goal. Audrey Briggs, Lindsey Owens and Lexi Jones each scored two goals apiece, while Clara Breitenreiter, Lexy Edwards, Karina Rodriguez and Bethany Gomillion each scored one goal. For Gomillion, a freshman, her score was the first of her Lady Raider career.
