RMS Girls Close Inner-County Season With a Perfect Record
The Richland Middle School girls’ basketball team finished a perfect 4-0 in inner-county matchups this season with a 46-15 win over Minor Hill on the road Nov. 19.
The Lady Raider defense dominated once again leading to a 30-4 advantage at halftime. RMS employed a variety of lineups that resulted in 12 different players scoring by the end of the night. Minor Hill put together an inspired second half effort that led to Abby White finishing with a game-high 10 points. Sadie Stafford hit a baseline jumper in the final minutes which brought the fans to their feet before White stole the ball and banked in a runner as time expired.
Audri Reynolds scored two points for Minor Hill, and Darby Sanders added a free throw.
For RMS, Danica Bridgers scored eight points. Mary Avery McNeese added six. Katelyn Bass, Shelby Higgins, Kylee Hall, Sissy Randolph and Kerestin Woodard each scored four points. Bailey Blair and Alli Cary Hewitt both scored three points. Grey Teegarden, Ava Shrader and Hanna Moore each chipped in two points.
