Paul Ray Simmons
Mr. Simmons was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Minor Hill. He served in the Korean War and was a Sergent First Class and decorated combat soldier. He fostered the ideal of America from an early age, and was part of the can-do generation that made America great. He is preceded in death by sister Tula Mae.
A private service was held to scatter his ashes.
Memorial donations may be made in the form of an act of kindness for any living thing.
Survivors include brother Thomas Denton; sisters, Sara Ann, Betty Lachon; children, Paul Joseph and wife Oksana, Perry Ray, Robin Turnpaugh and husband Tom; grandchildren, Kimberly, Kyle, Frank; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Seth, Leo, Ian; and friends Dorothy, Megan and Jay.
