Linda Susan Johnson Lindsey
Mrs. Lindsey was born Jan. 1, 1951. She grew up in a family of hard working dairy farmers in the Minor Hill Community, graduated in 1969 from Minor Hill School and met the love of her life, Fred Lindsey, while attending Columbia State, where she graduated with a two-year college degree. She worked for Giles County Hospital, which became Hillside Hospital, retiring after 28 years. She loved to travel near and far and enjoyed the smaller things like riding back roads just to find old houses to explore. She loved trespassing and taking pictures of nature’s beauty, reading, painting, gardening, attending concerts, food and wine festivals and museums. She would go out of her way to provide for a stranger or rescue a stray animal. She was a true cultured spirit with a hilarious sense of humor, a wild sense of adventure and never left a person without making them smile. She is preceded in death by parents, Mary Ann Johnson and George Kenneth Johnson.
Funeral services were July 5 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Burial was in Giles Memory Garden.
