Florence Marie Randolph
Mrs. Florence Marie Randolph, 86, died Dec. 15, 2018.
Mrs. Randolph was born Aug. 25, 1932, and attended school in the Giles County Public School System. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age, and joined Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, where she was a faithful member. She became a Mother in the Church and served in that capacity until her health began to fail. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother; she loved everybody and wanted to help everyone. She treated others the way she wanted to be treated. She was a great cook, and she was well-known for her famous chess pie and cornbread. She is preceded in death by parents, John Hagan and Ella E. Gilbert; husband J.D. Randolph; siblings, Herbert Gilbert, Napolean Gilbert, Herschel Gilbert, Willie James Gilbert, Edline Brown, Flora Randolph, Bernice Brown, Marveline Kimbrough; and daughters, Carolyn E. Reynolds and Annetta Morris.
Survivors include sons, James Randolph and wife Cecila, Douglas Randolph and wife Debra, all of Detroit, Charles Randolph and wife Lynn, Rickey Nelson, Tim Nelson; daughters, Glenda Daily and husband William, Mae Walker and husband William, Melinda D. Nelson, all of Pulaski; brothers, Alton Gilbert and wife Dottie, Paul D. Gilbert and wife Mary, Kenneth Gilbert and wife Maxine, all of Detroit; sisters-in-law, Grace Gilbert, Susie Gilbert, both of Detroit; 30 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
