Fannell London Smith

Mrs. Fannell London Smith, 67, died July 8, 2019, in Nashville.

 

Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 7, 1951, in Pulaski. She graduated from Giles County High School in 1969. She attended Columbia State where she received her associates degree in Physical Education. She was a member of Jackson Street Church of Christ. She was employed at Union Planters, and later it became Regions Bank until she retired. She is preceded in death by parents, Henry and Sallie Moody London; brother Robert Stephain London; and husband James Melvin Smith.

 

Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Survivors include daughter Octavia London Ray of Nashville; sisters, Mattie McNairy, Margie Gilbert, both of Pulaski, Mary (Cat) London, Ollie Mae London, both of Nashville; brothers, Joe Wallace of Louisville Ky., Henry London and wife Linda, Aaron London and wife Elfrida, all of Pulaski, Alvin London of Nashville; eleven nephews; 10 nieces; goddaughter Mariona Smith; granddaughter Kiersten Davis; godson Charles Smith Jr.; grandson Marticio Johnson; great-nephew Christopher James Hefner who she affectionately called “Robert Henry;” parents-in-law the Smiths; brothers, Michael Crowder, Paul Beard; Jackson Street Church of Christ family; caretaker/friend Mary Nunley; and a host of other relatives, family and friends.
