Doris Mai Tomlinson Blankenship
Mrs. Doris Mai Tomlinson Blankenship, 92, died Dec. 1, 2018.
Mrs. Blankenship was born June 14, 1926, in Lynnville. She grew up around Lynnville, graduated from Campbellsville High School and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She called Milan, Jackson, Murfreesboro, Louisville, Ky., and Florence, Ala., home at various times in her life. Her career included being a homemaker and working varied positions at the Milan Arsenal, Sears, West Jackson Baptist Church and Altrusa International of Jackson. She is preceded in death by parents, Ola Mai Owen and Henry Clarence Tomlinson; siblings, Clarence Owen, Mary, Joseph, Alvin, all infants, twin Henry Dalton Tomlinson, Lola Kate Barlar; and husband of 50 years Ray Granvel Blankenship.
Graveside services were Dec. 6 at Brown’s Cemetery in Jackson.
Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Arthritis Foundation.
Survivors include daughter Gail B. Fedak and husband Drew; and grandson James Ray Meredith.
