Betty Sanders Lee
Mrs. Lee was born Nov. 12, 1925, in Marshall County. She attended high school in Marshall County and graduated from Peabody College with a business degree. She was a beautiful, kind and gracious lady. She enjoyed walking indoors so her hair wouldn’t blow, dressing impeccably and collecting fine jewelry. She adored her daughter, grandsons and group of lady friends. They lunched together often, shopped, traveled to New York to the theater, to Atlanta for the opera and toured Europe. She is preceded in death by husband of 52 years Dan Clayton Lee; parents, Mary Frank and Earl Sanders; brother Phil Sanders and wife Jerrie; and nephew David Sanders.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at Maplewood Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Montgomery officiating. Memorial donations may be made to First UMC, Pulaski.
Survivors include daughter Linda Lee Rogers and husband Ronald; grandchildren, Clay Rogers and wife Mandy, Steven Rogers and wife Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Olivia, Emmy, Elsie Lee; caregivers, Jennie Houston, Dolly Hodge; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
