Barry Don Pierce

Mr. Barry Don (Catfish) Pierce,  64, of Pulaski died July 31, 2018, at STRHS, Pulaski.

 

Mr. Pierce was born February 27, 1954, in Giles County. He was the Maintenance Supervisor at the Pulaski Housing Authority for 42 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was an avid golfer and won numerous championships at Hillcrest Country Club. He loved farming, shooting pool and  The University of Tennessee sports. He was a graduate of Giles County High School Class of 1972. He is preceded in death by parents, William Edward (Red) and Elizabeth Pearl Martin Pierce.

 

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m., August 3 at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 11 a.m.  August 4 at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. Burial is in Maplewood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation c/o 8301 Professional Place  Suite 200  Landover, MD  20785.

 

Survivors include son Barry McQuilkin and wife Brandie of Summertown; daughter Dawn McQuilkin Wray and husband Joel of the Brick Church Community; brother William G. (Bo) Pierce and wife Lavonne of Knoxville; sister Martene Pierce Hatfield and husband Jeff of Pulaski; grandchildren, Morgan McQuilkin, Andrew Newton, Brook Newton, Jake Wray; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Pierce Furman and husband Rudy of Knoxville, Chris Hatfield and wife Steffany of Pulaski, Sam Hatfield of Pulaski; partner of 25 years Pam (PJ) Durbin of Pulaski; daughter Shannon Durbin; grandchildren Justin Dickey, Holley Wise; and current and former Pulaski Housing Authority work family.
