Arvil Knox Chapman Jr.

Arvil Knox Chapman Jr., 79, of Pulaski died Sept. 9, 2019.

 

Mr. Chapman was born June 21, 1940, in Pulaski and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a 1958 graduate of Giles County High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Mt. Moriah Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He is preceded in death by parents, Arvil Knox and Glinda Mary Russell Chapman Sr.; sister Sue Hughey; brother Stephen B. Chapman; and daughter Holly Lynn Chapman.

 

Visitation is tomorrow (Thursday) from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Steve Nave officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

 

Survivors include wife of 57 years Nancy Lentz Chapman of Pulaski; sons, Arvil Knox Chapman III and wife Christine of Waynesboro, Michael T. Chapman I and wife Mary of White House; sisters, Nelle Chapman Greene, Mary Knox Chapman Trapp and husband Denver; grandchildren, Michael T. Chapman II and wife Sierra, Brittney Chapman Soultatos and husband Jonathan, Darian E. Chapman, Tiara I. Rumbaugh and husband Daniel, Timothy I. Totten, Holly L. Chapman; and great-grandchildren, Sailor E. Soultatos, Jordan D. Rumbaugh, Everleigh G. Slone and Samuel. K. Rumbaugh.
