Mr. Elwood Cook, 81, of Pulaski died June 21, 2019, at Maury Regional Transitional Care NHC Center in Columbia.
Mr. Cook retired after working 35 years at Pulaski Electric System. At Christmas time, he always took pride knowing he was one of the ones that first put the lights on the Courthouse. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. He was an avid sports fan, especially if it involved Tennessee. Most of all he enjoyed watching his two grandsons play baseball. He loved wood working and traveling, he was a past member of the Lions Club as well as the Elks Club. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pulaski. He is preceded in death by parents, John Edward Cook and Charlie Emmaline Cook; and brothers, Dale Crawford Cook, Kirkland Cook, Orman Dexter Cook and John Edward Cook Jr.
Funeral services were June 24 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery.
Survivors include wife of 59 years Jean Taylor Cook of Pulaski; son Jeffrey Brent Cook and wife Lori of Pulaski; daughter Regina Lynn Watrous and husband Joey of Pulaski; brother Jerry Michael Cook and wife Deborah of Antioch; sister Ann Cook Haselton of Antioch; grandsons, Seth Duncan, Caleb Duncan, both of Pulaski; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
