A whirlwind of fun is set to take place in only a month’s time when Main Street Pulaski presents the fourth annual Summer SOULstice Festival! Get those calendars out now and be sure to mark off Saturday, June 15, from 3-9 p.m. You will be so glad you did!

Last year’s attendance was nearly 7,000 people celebrating the longest day of the year and Pulaski’s growing art culture. Craftsmen, artisans, dancers, musicians and nearly 20 food trucks will be on hand again this year to offer you the gamut of enjoyable options — all situated near and around what’s described as the prettiest Courthouse in all of Tennessee.

Summer SOULstice will again join forces with the American Cancer Society’s key event, Relay For Life, to fund-raise for a cause close to many hearts. Historic Downtown Pulaski Director Olivia Officer said festival goers will love the new kid-friendly offerings.

“We love that we’re teaming up with Relay again this year and they’ve planned to host a kids’ play area instead of the food fund-raisers they’ve had before,” Officer said. “It’s great to say from a fund-raising point they just outgrew selling food. Now it’s a Disney-themed area with a slide, face painting, bounce house — there’s more in the works. You’ll have to bring the kids and find out. We promise they’ll have fun and should sleep really well when they get home!”

Pulaski Electric System will also have kids’ games, giveaways and an interactive kids’ learning experience with their power trucks. Parents can also check their kiddos in to the Summer Reading Program at the Giles County Public Library booth.

Rest assured this year will have returning Festival favorites for the adults as well; from kicking off with the beloved milk drop and awe-inspiring chainsaw art, to numerous vendors around the Square and beverages available for purchase at the Giles County Chamber offices.

The always enjoyable rock-n-roll dueling pianos from Nashville are a crowd favorite or take in the soulful, new vibes of the groovy Utopia Band. There is even a special LED photo booth experience to show everyone you are enjoying SOULstice and are Pulaski proud!

You have about a month to make plans, so be sure to tell your family and friends. In the meantime, everyone keep your eyes peeled for the SOULstice Crew who will be out and about in the community leading up to the event. Let’s just say everyone will have the chance to get involved in the buzz; whether it be a Facebook post or prize giveaway, you won’t want to miss it!
