Lynnville’s Christmas Village Is Saturday
by Margaret Campbell
“We’ve held this event for several years in Lynnville and it always signals the opening of the Christmas season,” Bobby Hollis explained. “It’s sponsored by the Lynnville Community Club.”
The club is a group of citizens who work on a yearly project for the community.
“The village is a fund-raiser for our next project,” Hollis said.
Held at the Lynnville Municipal Building, there will be booths of arts and crafts of all kinds, including handmade items like aprons, wreaths and Christmas decorations, home décor, food items, local honey and wood crafts.
“There are about 15 vendors so far, but there is room for more and it’s not too late to sign up,” Hollis said. “Booths are $10 each.”
A traditional Christmas lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
“The lunch is lovingly prepared by the best cooks in Lynnville and will include everyone’s favorite holiday dishes for only $7 a plate,” Hollis said. “It’s the best deal around.”
