Ruth Hutton Burns

Mrs. Ruth Hutton Burns, 84, died Aug. 6, 2017, in Pulaski.


Mrs. Burns was born May 14, 1933, in Giles County. She was a retired secretary from First Baptist Church Pulaski and a Pink Lady. She was a First Baptist Church member and active with the joyful workers Sunday School Class. She is preceded in death by husband Warren Burns; parents, Robert Mitchum and Nancy Elizabeth Long Hutton; sisters, Ruby Taylor, Elizabeth Millican, Louise Holbert, Josephine Hutton; brother Robert Hutton; daughter-in-law Mary Ann Burns; and son-in-law Tommy Ervin.


Funeral services were yesterday (Wednesday) at First Baptist Church Pulaski. Burial was to be in Giles Memory Gardens. Carr & Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Pulaski, 407 S. First St., Pulaski, TN 38478.


Survivors include sons, Bruce Burns and wife Teresa of Pulaski, Bob Burns of Woodstock, Ga.; daughters, Betty Ervin of Lynnville, Beverly Toone and husband Terry of Pulaski; sister Christine Minatra of Pulaski; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; friend Linda Dale; and many nieces and nephews.
