Jimmy Sims Jr.
Mr. Jimmy Sims Jr., 79, of Pulaski died April 17, 2017.
Mr. Sims was born July 7, 1937, in Pulaski and was a loving father and grandfather. He worked in management for Stanley Tools and Elk Valley Hardwood for 30 years and was a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Forestry. He was a faithful church member at First United Methodist Church, a veteran of the Army National Guard, a 32nd degree Mason, a good cook and an Eagle Scout for many years. He is preceded in death by parents, James William and Edith Gilbert Sims; and special friend Nancy Dodson Ingram.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 20, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 12:30 p.m.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 1 p.m. April 20 at Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to First UMC, 200 W. Jefferson St., Pulaski, TN 38478.
Survivors include son Jay Sims of Pulaski; grandsons, Steven Sims, Dylan Sims, both of Pulaski; brother Jack Sims and wife Caroline of Columbia; nephew Keith Sims of Columbia; niece Caroline Sims of Columbia; cousins, Marcia Winterburn, Lucille Winterburn, both of Pulaski; and special friends, Anna Ingram, Lilly Ingram and Drew Ingram, all of Pulaski.
