Planning Commission to Review Subdivision Regulations

A long awaited draft of expanded subdivision regulations was given to Giles County Regional Planning Commission members, who are reviewing the document.

Planning commissioners voted March 2 to review the document and bring any questions to County Attorney Chris Williams at a future meeting. The next scheduled meeting is 5 p.m. April 6 in the basement meeting room of the Giles County Courthouse Annex.

The latest draft was compiled by Williams at the commission’s request.

Since most regulations deal with roads, the Giles County Superintendent of Roads will inspect that work. Other requirements concern E-911 and the Giles County Office of Emergency Management, which administers floodplain zoning.
