EDC Thanks Retiring Director for Years of Service

Dan Speer, who retired as director of the Giles County Economic Development Commission recently, was thanked and recognized for his efforts.

Speer submitted his retirement letter to David Rackley, chairman of the board of directors of the EDC, effective March 31, citing a change in Speer’s medical condition.

Speer had served as director of the EDC since 2006.

“Dan has served as executive director for many years and has done an outstanding job. He will be hard to replace and will be greatly missed by all,” Rackley said. “His hard work and dedication to the citizens of Pulaski and all of Giles County has made this county a great place to live and work.

“We wish him a happy retirement and a heartfelt ‘thank you,’ for all he has accomplished.”
